DDA implemented VSLA Activity

A VSLA (Village Savings and Loan Association) is a community-based financial group that operates on a self-help model to promote savings, credit, and financial literacy among its members, often in rural or underbanked areas. Members pool their savings into a shared fund from which they can take loans at low interest rates. The model empowers individuals, especially in developing regions, by providing them with access to capital for small businesses, emergency needs, or personal investments. VSLAs are typically managed and governed by the members themselves, ensuring transparency and fostering community trust. DDA Train and Equip VSLA Beneficiaries in order to reach our target Goal that is self-sufficient for each individual among our Beneficiaries. we implemented VSLA Activity into Different Districts such us Bula barde, Bardheere and Jowhar

Vocational Training

Vocational training skills refer to practical, hands-on training programs designed to equip individuals with the specific skills and knowledge required for particular trades or careers. These skills focus on preparing participants for employment in fields that often require manual or technical expertise.

DDA Implemented these Vocational training skills.

Tie and Dye: we established a Tie and Dye Class which is consist of 30 female students which we equipped and trained all the skills related Tie and Dye for example a traditional textile art technique used to create unique patterns and designs on fabric through the application of dyes. We provided all the necessary tools, clothes and equipment used to for Tie and Dye and Some of them are have established their own Tie and Dye shop.

Beauty Salon skill

We established A beauty salon Class which consist 30 student who are all female. We provided all the skills related to Beauty salon like variety of cosmetic services for clients to enhance their appearance and well-being such us Hair Style Services, Nail Services and Makeup Services. We have given all Necessary equipment that makes easy to run Beauty salon shop and most of them are working now.

Fishing skill

we implemented fishing skill in Brdhere District and We trained and equipped 30 students who are ready to manage their live the skill who have provided. We provided all Necessary fishing equipment and now they manage their lives.

Mobile Repair skill:

We have also stablished a Class consisting of 30 students Mobile phone Repair class in Bardere District and we have trained and equipped all the skills related to mobile repair and already some of the students have their own business on mobile phone Repair.

Solar Installation System skill

we also established solar Installation System class consisting of 30 male students. The students are trained and Equipped all the basic skills needed in a solar installation system like Basic Electrical Skills Understanding AC and DC power, voltage, current, resistance and Safe handling of electrical components and tools. Photovoltaic (PV) System Fundamental Solar System Design and Sizing Mechanical and Structural Installation Skills Inverter and Battery Installation. We provided all the necessary equipment for Solar Installation system and they have already started work independently

Tailoring skill

we stablished a Tailoring class consisting of 30 students who are both male and female students. We trained and equipped the knowledge and the skill related to Tailoring skill. After graduation we provided tailoring machines and all necessary equipment for tailoring and now they have stablished their own business

Food Security and Livelihood Support

DDA did Number of Food Security and Livelihood Support through Training that makes them to gain a skill and resilience in the future. This is some of the training we delivered

Fodder Training

we trained 180 Group of Beneficiaries which are from six villages of Bardhere District. These Groups are Agropastoral communities so We trained with the help of FAO Giving them knowledge and the skill based on their way of live. There fore we trained Animal fodder Advantage to their animal and their lives also, how to cultivate up to harvesting and how to process. At the end of the training we provided Fodder machines used to crush animal fodder and Fodder Harvesting Tools.

Milk marketing Groups

DDA trained 7 Group of Beneficiaries which are from six villages of Bardhere District. These Beneficiaries are Milk Traders, they are the dealers of milk in Bardhere District. We Trained and equipped a knowledge with the best way to trade, safe and quality milk. We provided equipment that makes them easy to trade.

Poultry Training

DDA Trained 81beneficiary who were chosen from 27 groups consisting of 3 members each. We trained with these topics an overview of poultry farming, poultry production, management, health and disease control, water supply, feeding, marketing, and commercial potential in poultry farming. These beneficiaries are those have interested a poultry farming. After finishing the training, we provided tools and equipment suitable for poultry farming.

Beekeeping

Training: DDA trained the seven groups of beekeepers, each consisting of five individuals, after dividing them up. We trained with these topics, Introduction to Beekeeping, Importance of Beekeeping, Methods of Beekeeping, Advantages of Modern Beekeeping. Treatment for Beekeeping and Essential Kits for Beekeeping. These beneficiaries are whose have basic knowledge of beekeeping. By the end of the training we provided a tools and equipment for Beekeeping

Input Distribution

We Distributed Different Inputs into Different District in the country. These inputs are for riverine and Agropastoral. We help the farmers to get inputs and Training for Deyr and Gu season in order to increase productivity. FAO helped us Inputs to be Distributed. The inputs we Distributed are Maize, mong bean, Soybean, sesame assorted vegetables and charismatic bags. We also give gap and nutrition training to the beneficiaries so they better cultivate their farms and utilize the best way for nutrition value.
